Actual Customer-Support Calls - A tech advised a customer to put his troubled floppy disk back in the drive and close the door. The man put his phone down and was heard walking across the room and slamming the door. - A woman called to say she couldn't get her computer to fax anything. The tech discovered that she was trying to fax a piece of paper by holding it in front of the monitor screen and hitting the "send" key. - A customer complied with the tech's request to send in a copy of a defective diskette. A few days later the tech received a letter from the customer along with a Xerox copy of the diskette. - A man was perplexed by an error message appearing every time he tried to print. The message stated "can't find laser printer". Solution? He turned the monitor screen so it would face the printer. - A customer was having 5.25" diskette problems.
